Bloch Launchpad prepares you for success by integrating a community of ambitious, like-minded students with a set thoughtfully designed professional development experiences. Students participating in the program receive a scholarship each semester (fall and spring), with opportunities to earn additional income as they progress through the program through internships and/or experience working in the Bloch Consulting Lab.
Hi, I am Whitney Vaughn the Launchpad Program Director! I am from Kansas City, MO born and raised and professionally I come from Park University where I was the campus director at the downtown KC location and Lenexa location.
Bloch Launchpad helps you hone your talents and build your networks, through exclusive professional development workshops and access to Kansas City’s business leaders. These include employer site visits, panel discussions, the Roo Mentor Network and Launchpad Orbits.
As a Bloch Launchpad Scholar, you will be part of a cohort of like-minded students that have common goals and interests. Launchpad offers a large array of events that allow you to get to know the other Scholars and build lifelong connections. Start your time at the Bloch School right with the Liftoff Orientation program and Launchpad peer mentorship. Launchpad also hosts social events and community service events where you’ll work alongside each other to give back to the Kansas City community
Every Launchpad Scholar is required to participate in at least one internship prior to graduation from the Bloch School. As a Launchpad Scholar, you’ll receive early access to the Bloch Career Center and professional mentors to help you find the right internship. You'll be able to schedule yearly one-on-one meetings with a Bloch Career Coach and have leadership opportunities within Launchpad to help build your resume.

Banking Leaders of Tomorrow is an exclusive program track within Bloch Launchpad that offers students who intend to pursue an interest in banking and financial services the opportunity to partner with leading banks in Kansas City.
First-time college students selected to Bloch Launchpad will receive a $2,500 scholarship as a part of their selection to the program. Students must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for selection.
