WHO QUALIFIES

  • Missouri or Kansas Resident
  • First-gen and/or from low-income community in Kansas City Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA)
  • Admitted to Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
    • Must be a Banking and Financial Services interest area
  • First Time College Student (FTC) Requirements
    • 0 or above high school core G.P.A. or 20 or above ACT (or SAT equivalent)
  • Short Essay (500 word maximum)
    • What excites you about a career in the financial services industry, and how have your experiences prepared you to engage in banking relationships with individuals and businesses in low-income areas?

AMOUNTS & RENEWABILITY CRITERIA

$1,000 – 0 – 30 credit hours BBA Program (Freshman)

$1,000 – 0 – 30 credit hours BBA Program (Freshman)

Minimum 3.0 GPA by end of first academic year

Bloch FSE Completion

Math 110 completion

$1,500 – 30 – 60 credit hours of BBA Program (Sophomore)

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA by end of second academic year
  • ACCTNG 210, ACCTNG 211, ECON 201, ECON 202 Completion


$2,500 – 60 – 90 credit hours of BBA Program (Junior)

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA by end of third academic year
  • FIN 325, 1 Banking Course (FIN 419, FIN 425, FIN 426, FIN 428) Completion


$5,000 – 90 – 120 credit hours of BBA Program (Senior)

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA by end of fourth academic year
  • Two Banking Courses Complete (FIN 419, FIN 425, FIN 426, FIN 428)
