Make a Gift

Help create future Bloch legacies.

You can support the Henry W. Bloch School of Management through major gifts, the Bloch Annual Fund or planned gifts.

Major Gifts

For more than 70 years, the Bloch School has grown and prospered because alumni and friends have made major gifts to create scholarships, support programs, and provide the dean with resources to take advantage of extraordinary opportunities. Not only do major gifts ensure a strong endowment, they can also help build and restore facilities and sustain our classroom activities.

Major gift donors can choose to direct their support toward an area where their personal interest matches the needs and priorities of the Bloch School. Major gifts can be made in the form of pledges that can be paid over a multi-year period. And major gifts can lead to unique recognition opportunities that can honor or memorialize a person who is important to you. If you are interested in learning more about making a major gift to support the Bloch School, contact Matt McDonough at 816-235-6623.

Bloch Alumni Impact Fund

The Bloch Alumni Impact Fund provides support for current students who have had a significant life emergency. Students can request a one-time scholarship from the fund and requests are reviewed within 48-72 hours by an internal team. If approved, students receive the scholarship shortly thereafter. Each semester we receive requests from students in excess of the amount of funds available at any given time. Make a difference in the lives of students and give to the Bloch Alumni Impact Fund today.

Endowed/Named Scholarships

With a gift of $25,000 or more, you can create your own legacy by endowing a scholarship. The most permanent of gifts, an endowed fund keeps giving back. Its principal is invested in the Foundation’s endowment, while the fund generates a reliable income stream supporting one or more students each year.

Some endowed scholarships can be named after the donor, a family  or someone you want to honor in the most lasting way—such as a Bloch School professor who influenced your life. Endowed scholarships are also a meaningful way to direct your philanthropy. Perhaps you want to support students pursuing a particular area of study or those from a similar background. You can focus your endowed scholarship on what you care about most.

There are currently naming opportunities available in Bloch Executive Hall and Bloch Heritage Hall. Please join our other generous Bloch School investors who have named iconic Bloch School spaces:

Planned Gifts

Alumni and friends can also choose to support the Bloch School through planned gifts that may include:

  • Multi-year payments of cash gifts, securities, or outright gifts of other assets, such as real estate
  • Life income plans that enable a donor to transfer an asset and retain (or provide another person) an income for life
Charitable lead trusts that may permit people to save on income, gift and estate taxes
  • Bequests, the most popular and flexible method of charitable gift planning, allowing you to establish a gift through your estate plan

The Bloch School can help you determine the type of gift that best maximizes your philanthropy and provides benefit to you in a way that is least burdensome.

Whether your interest is in creating a scholarship, supporting a favorite program or center, or leaving a legacy to honor a loved one, we will be delighted to speak with you about it.
