UMKC was the best financial decision for me. The scholarship opportunities were amazing and it was clear I would get the most return on my academic investment here at UMKC! From the professional development programs to the quality of the courses, UMKC provided the most “bang for my buck”.
What piece of advice would you share with high school students or transfer students that are just beginning their college search process?
Ask as many questions as you can think of! You don’t know what you don’t know- so don’t be afraid to ask about anything and everything.
How do you (or do you plan to) find balance between school and your personal life?
I time block my days! I group my classes together, my on-campus job shifts together, and my off-campus job shifts together. This allows me to build a routine and helps with balancing all my responsibilities- plus it gives me time to just relax and have fun!
What is your favorite thing about Kansas City? What parts of Kansas City are you excited to explore?
My favorite thing about KC is the small-town feel. For example, my sister and I have run Travis Kelce at the grocery store… multiple times! I love exploring the plaza, my friends and I like to head over there between or after classes because it is right in UMKC’s backyard!
