I fell in love with the Bloch School. From day one, I’ve felt supported by the faculty and staff no matter what path I choose. UMKC creates an environment where you feel seen, heard, and encouraged to grow.
What piece of advice would you share with high school students or transfer students that are just beginning their college search process?
Be as open as you can. Opportunities rarely come knocking—you have to go out and find them. The more curious and proactive you are, the more rewarding your college experience will be.
How do you (or do you plan to) find balance between school and your personal life?
I make it a priority to finish all my homework before 3 PM. That way, I have the rest of the day to relax, hang out with friends, or focus on hobbies. It keeps me motivated and helps prevent burnout.
What is your favorite thing about Kansas City? What parts of Kansas City are you excited to explore?
I love the music scene here. I’m at The Blue Room most weekends, soaking in the live jazz. As a musician, I really appreciate Kansas City’s deep musical roots and vibrant creative culture. There’s always something new to explore.
