Favorite Bloch course: Current Issues in Accounting – ACCTNG 5578 – “This course covers current, within the last 24 months, topics related to the accounting industry. There is also a community component in that, accounting leaders from the community will help to lead and guide the case learning this semester. The goal is for students to not only experience deep, “case learning” about significant accounting topics, but also that they are able to build tangible relationships with accounting leaders within the greater KC area. This class was very interesting because we were able to corroborate with student entrepreneurs and help their financials using QuickBooks. We also had a chance to get lectures from current Accounting professionals in KC area.”
