About

Dr. Jae Jung

is a Faculty Director of International Programs and Associate Professor of Strategy and International Business at the Henry W. Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He earned his Ph.D. in Strategy and International Business from Ivey Business School, University of Western Ontario (now, Western University) and his M.B.A. and B.A. degrees in International Business from Korea University. 

Before pursuing an academic career, Dr. Jung worked as a research associate at the Korea Development Institute and as a sergeant in the U.S. Army in South Korea. He also worked for Kia Motors in Germany and for Samyang Textile in Vietnam. 

Dr. Jung’s research lies at the intersection of corporate social responsibility, international business, and strategic management. His current research projects examine the causes and effects of corporate social responsibility in the international business environment, with a focus on contributions to society, such as job creation and pollution reduction. He has published over 20 articles in leading journals, including Journal of World Business, Long Range Planning, Journal of Business Ethics, Global Strategy Journal, and International Business Review

Dr. Jung has taught courses in strategic management, international management, corporate social responsibility, consulting, and study abroad programs in South Korea, China, Taiwan, and Germany. He teaches at all levels of undergraduate, graduate, and executive. Dr. Jung believes in the value of hands-on learning for students, such as case analysis and consulting projects.
