Program Details

Few areas in the nonprofit community have received more attention than these two fundraising techniques, yet most professionals are still confused about how to use them. This two-day course offers specific insights into major gifts and planned giving and how to use them in your development plan. Applied Project: Preparation of cultivation and solicitation plan for major and planned gift prospect.

This course is an elective in the Professional Fundraising Series. 

Required Textbook:
There are no required textbooks for this course.

MCNL has a limited number of partial scholarships that can be applied to the registration fee for most of our programs. Apply for a scholarship using our online form. 

Graduate Credit:
If you would like to earn graduate credit for the fundraising courses but are not currently a UMKC student, learn more about becoming UMKC as a visiting/community student. 

Location and Parking:
All sessions are held in Room 4 of Bloch Heritage Hall at 5110 Cherry Street on the UMKC Volker Campus. Parking passes will be mailed to participants upon registration. 

Cancellation and Transfer Policy:
Full refunds will be given when cancellations are made at least five working days before the first session. A $50 cancellation fee will be deducted from refunds when notification occurs fewer than five working days before class begins. No refunds will be made after the first session has begun.
