Professional MBA Degree Requirements

All core classes consist of two components:

  • Online lectures accessible to you at any time
  • Scheduled engagement activities in which you can participate online or in person

The core classes required for the Bloch MBA are:

Foundations Courses (21 credits)

  • ACCTNG 5503: Financial Accounting for Decision Making
  • DSOM 5511: Supply Chain and Operations Management
  • FIN 5509: Financial Management
  • MGT 5514: Strategic Management in the Globalized World
  • MGT 5512: Leading and Managing People, Teams and Organizations
  • MKT 5504: Marketing Management
  • MIS 5507: Business Analytics and Statistics

Application, Integration and Innovation (3 credits)

  • ENT 5508: Corporate Entrepreneurship and Innovation
  • ENT 5550: Entrepreneurial Experience
  • PUB-ADM 5582: Developing the Social Enterprise

Electives (12 credits)

In addition to the core degree requirements, 12 elective credit hours (4 courses) are part of the curriculum. Students are able to select the electives that match their career goals. Electives will be offered in online and in-class formats, with topics suiting a variety of interest areas such as:

Retention and Graduation Requirements

Students must maintain a 3.0 (“B”) average to be in good standing. Of the total M.S.A. hours required, at least 80 percent of all courses must be completed with grades of “B” (3.0) or higher. Up to 20 percent can be completed with grades of “B-,” “C+” or “C.” No grade below “C” in a 5500-level class will count toward the degree.
