Meet Our Alumni
Aaron Preman grew up in Overland Park and graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor's degree in architectural studies. Soon after, he completed a 2-year volunteer service in the Peace Corps, managing small grants for community development projects in the Republic of Moldova, Eastern Europe. Building upon this experience, Aaron pursued his master's in Sustainable International Development at Brandeis University near Boston.
Aaron has recently worked in the field of reclaimed woods for high-end interior design, first in a sales function with a "first-mover" company on the West Coast, and then in collaboration with a startup company with production base in Indonesia. During this timeframe, Aaron also partnered in creating a small wholesale jewelry supply business specializing in South Sea pearls, also from Indonesia. He has enjoyed travelling between Indonesia for sourcing and Honolulu as a primary market, as well as tradeshows in Hong Kong and Shanghai to support the business.
Aaron is very interested in the business of sustainability, and the management of precious global resources in industries such as water purification and industrial recycling. Post-MBA, Aaron returned to Indonesia to continue building his business, Primo Pearls.
