Thank you for your interest in the Bloch School. At Bloch, we take pride in being “Kansas City’s Business School.” We are very much committed to strong partnerships with organizations in the region, including nonprofits, civic organizations, entrepreneurial startups and well-established corporations.
We emphasize programs that link Bloch students and faculty with our partners throughout greater Kansas City. For students, these strong connections offer opportunities to learn from leaders in many of Kansas City’s most successful organizations and to apply what is learned in the classroom to real-world organizational challenges. It provides opportunities for internships, full-time jobs, mentoring, project-based learning, and faculty-led consulting assignments.
As Kansas City’s business school, we are committed to strengthening the region by meeting critical workforce needs. We are committed to providing transformational educational experiences for students making their initial entry into their chosen field. And, we are committed to meeting the needs for life-long learning among professionals and executives working in the area. We are committed to innovating in how we offer our programs, ensuring accessibility, flexibility, and high levels of engagement.
We very much embrace the legacy of Henry W. Bloch, the legendary and beloved co-founder of H&R Block. Mr. Bloch has made enormous contributions to Kansas City and beyond as an entrepreneur, community leader, and philanthropist. At Bloch, we use the many lessons he offers to guide how we operate and what we teach. We embrace innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit, community engagement, and the need for hard work, grit, and persistence. We strive to follow Mr. Bloch’s example by operating with honor and integrity, encouraging multiculturalism and diversity as well as a global orientation. Our efforts to use the lessons offered by Mr. Bloch is one of the things that helps our students stand out.
Bloch has a proud history and a bright future. We have more than 18,000 graduates and close to 10,000 living or working in Kansas City. We are accredited by both AACSB and NASPAA, validating the quality of Bloch’s programs in business disciplines as well as public affairs. Our faculty are committed to serving the needs of our students, being thought leaders in their discipline and connecting with our partners and stakeholders.
