Boards and Councils

The advice and counsel of the business and civic community informs and guides many aspects of the Bloch School’s overall direction. Many of the area’s most respected leaders participate on Bloch School boards and councils.

Accountancy Executive Board is the Department of Accountancy’s direct line to the leading accounting firms.

The Bloch Advisory Council brings together Kansas City’s business and civic leaders to support the Bloch School’s efforts to meet the needs of its students, to address key challenges facing the Kansas City region, and to pursue excellence.

The Bloch Alumni Association Board represents the more than 13,000 alumni of the Bloch School of Management by creating programming to serve and connect them. The board’s mission is also to connect current Bloch School students to alumni through their support of internships and other networking opportunities.

The Council for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) is a voluntary group of leaders from the Kansas City business and civic community who are committed to supporting research, teaching and experiential learning in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation at the Bloch School.

The EMBA Alumni Council helps maintain the prestige and reputation of the EMBA program by providing feedback to enhance the program, strengthen the alumni network, and support the recruitment of exceptional candidates.

The Human Resources Advisory Board serves to advance the field of human resources through the promotion of educational and developmental opportunities for professionals, scholars and students and creates a forum for discussion, exploration and problem-solving of critical topics for top HR executives in the Kansas City area.

Lewis White Real Estate Advisory Council

The Marketing Advisory Council is a group of high-level marketing professionals in the Kansas City area that advises the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management.

Public Affairs Advisory Council comprises experienced government and nonprofit public service and community leaders who will provide guidance and support to the Department of Public Affairs as it designs and delivers programs and services to the Greater Kansas City public service community.
