Campus Services and Support
UMKC offers many support services to help you succeed.
Counseling Center: Offers short-term counseling for students to manage their personal mental health.
Financial Aid & Scholarships: Offers help with everything related to aid and awards.
LGBTQIA Programs & Services: Provides LGBTQIA students with resources and supports on campus.
Roo Up Seminars: Online and in-person workshops offered on a variety of subjects to help students become better, more effective students. Topics include study skills, stress management, healthy living, and career preparation.
Student Disability Services: Works with students to establish accommodation plans for documented disabilities.
Student Health & Wellness: Offers evaluation and treatment of acute illness and stable chronic illness for UMKC students.
Supplemental Instruction: Provides regularly scheduled, peer-led review and study sessions for certain courses.
UMKC Financial Wellness Center: Supports students as they navigate a wide range of personal finance topics. Through one-on-one financial coaching, workshops, and digital resources, they help answer student questions about how to pay for college, budget, and manage credit and debt. Their services are free to all UMKC students.
UMKC Multicultural Student Affairs: Provides support for the advancement of students of color on campus.
UMKC Tutoring: Offers tutoring in a variety of courses outside the Bloch School.
UMKC Women’s Center: Provides support services for the advancement of women’s equity on campus.
Veteran & Military Resources: A listing of the campus resources for student veterans and active duty military.
