  • The Bloch Financial Management Certificate is designed for professionals who are interested in understanding the role of financial management and strategy in today’s business operations. We understand that many professionals have some experience working with financials but may not be financial managers. At Bloch, we believe that you can benefit by taking the time to explore financial topics with a seasoned instructor. By learning the language, tools, and decision-making processes that tie into financial strategy, we can help you grow as a leader with the knowledge of business finance and acumen.

    Participants with financial experience, as well as those coming from non-financial management backgrounds, are welcome to take part in the Financial Management Certificate.

  • Practice human-centered design to develop problem solving skills to address your companies most pressing problems

    Organizational decision makers frequently confront incongruences between existing goods and services and the needs of their consumers. Overcoming this challenge can be daunting.  Leading organizations and problem solvers are turning to design thinking as a means to problem solving that breaks the antipathy to change.

    In this four-month, in-person program, participants will be introduced to, and will practice, design thinking methods that aid decision-making in complex environments.  You will be challenged to use the methodology to enhance your current creative skill sets and develop strategies for growing creative processes in your work domains.

    What is received upon program completion?

    Participants will receive a non-degree certificate of completion upon completing the Design Thinking Essentials program.

    What You Will Learn

    Through this program you will work along design thinking practitioners and engage with real-world challenges.  Participants will practice the key elements of the design thinking process:

    • Listening with empathy to obtain valuable insights
    • Understanding problems from a user perspective
    • Crafting problem statements
    • Ideating user-based solutions
    • Developing prototype solutions
    • Testing ideas and adapting design based on feedback

    Who Should Attend

    Individuals or work teams desiring a new approach to problem solving and decision making.

    Design thinking approaches are applicable in many business contexts including: new venture creation, new product development, business-to-business solutions, business-to consumer solutions, marketing, organizational design and change as well as process improvements.

  • As an employee of the Federal Reserve Bank, you are eligible to complete a Leadership Development Certificate in partnership with Bloch Executive Education.

    For Federal Reserve Bank employees, the Federal Reserve Bank Leadership Development Certificate allows you flexibility to elect classroom-based coursework, pair with one-on-one leadership coaching, that will best support your learning and development goals.

    Additionally, you will be paired with a leadership coach who will customize an action planning guide specifically tailored to help you advance through your career.

    Once your registration has been processed, you will be contacted by Bloch Executive Education by email with further instruction on registering for individual seminars and meeting with your leadership coach. Participants may complete the program within 18 months of registration.
