Kirk McClure is a professor with the urban planning program in the School of Public Affairs and Administration at the University of Kansas. He specializes in the areas of housing and real estate development with an emphasis on housing affordability. His work is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. He has published dozens of articles, chapters, reviews and reports. His work has won multiple national awards and is found in many of the leading journals in planning. He serves on the board of editors of the Journal of Planning Education and Research and the journal Housing Studies, and he is associate editor of the journal Housing Policy Debate.
