Coming to UMKC made a lot of sense because I wanted to study Business and wanted to stay in KC. After taking a tour of campus, it was easy to confirm I was making the right decision to study Marketing at the Bloch School.
What piece of advice would you share with high school students or transfer students that are just beginning their college search process?
Don’t be afraid to get involved on campus! There are plenty of opportunities that have become leadership and networking opportunities for me. Getting involved in organizations and attending events is how I made most of my friends on campus.
How do you (or do you plan to) find balance between school and your personal life?
Finding a balance between school and my personal life is something I still work on, especially since I spend most of my time on campus as a commuter student and usually have later days on campus. Hanging out with friends has helped me develop a better balance between school and my personal life.
What is your favorite thing about Kansas City? What parts of Kansas City are you excited to explore?
I love hanging out in Downtown KC and the River Market! The Plaza is always a fun place to go. There are also great restaurants all over KC to go out for food with friends too.
