Trip Overview

The Paris adventure commences on Saturday, May 21st with a walking tour of Paris and a boat ride on the Seine. You will have ample time during the week to explore famous landmarks such as Notre Dame, the Louvre and D’ Orsay museums, the Invalides where Napolean is entombed, and a variety of other Parisian sites. You can enjoy charming bistros, brasseries and restaurants while soaking in French ambiance. Paris, the "City of Lights" is arguably the most charming and romantic city in the world. You can be the judge!

We will select a variety of companies to visit. Past trips have included Air France, France Telecom, Renault, Citroen, the American Embassy, Pernod Ricard, Thomson, BNP Paribas and many others. We will select several different organizations that will provide you with a feel for French businesses.


Students are responsible for the following program costs:

  • $550 deposit* to be submitted with the program application. The deposit, less $100, is refundable until accommodations must be finalized (by January 31st). If an application is rejected, the entire deposit will be refunded. This deposit is a down payment toward accommodations.
  • 3 hours tuition.
  • International airfare to/from Paris.
  • Meals in Paris
  • Local transportation costs.
  • Miscellaneous expenses including entry fees to cultural sites.
  • Incidentals.
  • Passport costs, if you do not have a passport already.
  • University required HTH Health Insurance.

*Due to unpredictable price increases and currency fluctuations, students may be required to pay additional funds prior to the trip.

Scholarships are available as well as financial aid.


If you are planning to take part in the study abroad trip to Paris, but find yourself wishing for more time to explore Europe consider adding this three-day pre-trip option!

This optional, non-credit trip will allow students the opportunity to explore Amsterdam! Visit world famous museums include Dutch Masters such as Rembrandt at the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, the Anne Frank House, and others. Take a canal boat cruise on the waterways of “the Venice of the North.” Enjoy a visit to the countryside to see the land of windmills, cheese farms and wooden shoe makers.

Delight in the nightlife of Amsterdam, including a visit to the Red Light District, the Leidseplein, and the Rembrandtplein. Amsterdam is a beautiful, important and culturally rich city that must not be missed! This trip runs May 28-30, 2011.
