Jeff Engelstad, Ph.D.
Jeff Engelstad has been active in commercial and investment real estate since 1980. Dr. Jeff is a professor at the University of Denver’s Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management. The University of Denver is the 8th oldest business school in the U.S. and the Burns School is ranked among the very top collegiate real estate programs worldwide. The Burns School has graduate, undergraduate and executive programs in all facets of real estate and development. In his capacity as professor, Jeff has published articles in the area of real estate finance and investment and feasibility analysis. Jeff holds the academic title of Clinical Professor.
Jeff is active in industry organizations and has served as a director of the Colorado Association of Realtors® and as treasurer and board member of his local association. While the University occupies most of his time, Jeff remains active in real estate investment, consulting and expert witness testimony. Through the University of Denver Jeff has traveled extensively leading numerous Global Real Estate Delegations in many parts of the world. He is a board member of the Colorado/Wyoming CCIM chapter, and NAIOP Colorado. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the American Planning Association, and the Denver Metro Commercial Association of Realtors®. Jeff received a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate and Finance (1983), a Master of Science in Real Estate and Construction Management (1992) and a Ph.D. in Urban Economics/Geography (1997), all from the University of Denver. Jeff enjoys skiing, golf and hanging out with his family.
