Free GMAT Prep Workshops
The Bloch School is pleased to offer free GMAT preparation workshops for prospective graduate students. Sessions are led by Dustin Cornwell, Director of MBA Programs. Dustin holds an MBA degree from the University of Minnesota and scored in the 98th percentile on the GMAT. He previously taught GMAT prep courses for PowerScore and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction at UMKC.
GMAT workshops last approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. About 2/3 of each workshop focuses on the quantitative section, and 1/3 on the verbal section. The GMAT questions covered each session will be different, so you may attend multiple times if you'd like to. The goal of the GMAT prep workshops is to familiarize you with the various GMAT question types and explain how to successfully work each type of problem. We will work dozens of problems each session.
Please note: the Bloch School's free GMAT prep workshops are meant to supplement your own studying and/or formal GMAT courses you may be taking; they do not provide comprehensive preparation for the test. The admissions committee recommends that students study at least 10 hours per week for 4 to 6 weeks prior to taking the GMAT.
