I need to make an advising appointment. How do I do that?
You do not need an appointment. The easiest and quickest way to be advised is to come in during our walk-in advising hours. These are Monday-Wednesday, 1-4pm, and Tuesday-Thursday, 9-11am

We offer a limited number of appointments on Tuesday and Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and Friday mornings. To schedule an appointment, please call 816-235-2215, but be aware that our appointments tend to book up weeks in advance. Walk-ins will be seen by an advisor that day.

Where do I send my transcripts?
Official transcripts should be sent to this address:
UMKC Office of Admissions
120 Administrative Center
5100 Rockhill Road
Kansas City, MO 64110-2499

Please follow up with the Office of Admissions (816-235-1111) to ensure your transcripts have been received. One of the largest delays in processing applications occurs because of delays in receiving transcripts.

How do I request my UMKC transcript?
Instructions for requesting an official UMKC transcript can be found at the UMKC Registrar’s Web site.

If an unofficial transcript is acceptable, you can print your grades out by term yourself at the UMKC grades Web site. You’ll need your UMKC SSO (single sign on) ID and password.

What’s a typical Bloch School class size?
Undergraduate courses typically have 25-35 students. Graduate courses will typically have 20-30 students.

Why is the school named for Henry Bloch?
Henry Bloch, co-founder and honorary chairman of H&R Block,Inc., endowed the school in 1986. In his honor, the school was officially named the Henry W. Bloch School of Business and Public Administration. Mr. Bloch has been closely involved in supporting and guiding the school ever since. and his close relationship with the Bloch School and UMKC. How can Career Services help me get a job?
UMKC’s Career Services Center works with students and alumni who are beginning or advancing careers. Throughout the year, Career Services offers workshops to hone job-seeking skills for students, on-campus employer fairs, and access to a powerful online database of job opportunities at www.careerexec.com.
