Dr. Sidne Ward - Research Activities and Interests

My current research interests include Information Systems in developing countries and antecedents of online piracy. I have also conducted field studies of eBay examining the consequences of bidder experience on bidding behavior and performance, the differences between bidder behavior in live versus online auctions, and the effects of partitioned pricing of shipping and other ancillary charges on total revenue realized (with Dr. John Clark).

Current projects include an examination of how environmental uncertainty interacts with the importance of Information Systems in enterprises in Nepal (with Prof. Binod Shrestha and Dr. Roger Pick). With Dr. Fred Hays, I am examining the impacts of adoption of online banking on credit union performance. Finally, I am examining the interaction of personality and culture with attitudes toward online piracy (with Dr. Roger Pick).

In addition, I have interests in the areas of information and communications technologies (ICT) and global development.

A list of my publications is available on my vita.
