Tammie Schaefer is an assistant professor of accounting at the University of Missouri-Kansas City's Henry W. Bloch School of Management. Schaefer received her B.S. in accounting in 2005, as well as her MBA in 2006, both from Rockhurst University. She will receive her Ph.D. in accounting in May 2013 from the University of South Carolina.
Schaefer's current research interests include judgment and decision making in accounting, auditor-to-auditor interactions, auditor-tax professional interactions and auditor negotiations. She received her Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) in 2008.
Additionally, Schaefer is a member of American Accounting Association, AICPA Accounting Doctoral Student (ADS) Program, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, and Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.
