Dr. Jeff Johnson is an assistant professor of marketing at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Henry W. Bloch School of Management. He has an MBA and Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Prior to joining Bloch, Johnson worked in inside sales, field sales, product management, and division management at Union Pacific Railroad in Omaha, NE and Los Angeles, CA.
Johnson's research focuses on sales and sales management and his dissertation examining the implementation of marketing strategies by salespeople was selected as the winner of the AMA Sales SIG Dissertation Proposal Award and the ISBM Doctoral Dissertation Award. His research has been presented at many national and international conferences. Since joining UMKC in August of 2013, Johnson has had articles published in several top marketing journals including the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Industrial Marketing Management, and Journal of Personal Selling & Sales Management.
Johnson teaches marketing at the undergraduate level.
