Dr. Hyun Seung (“H.S.”) Jin is an associate professor of marketing at the Henry W. Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He has a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.B.A. and B.A. from Sogang University, Seoul, Korea.
Jin teaches marketing courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level, including Marketing Strategy, Buyer Behavior and Sales and Promotion Strategies.
His research interests are integrated marketing communications, advertising and promotion and consumer behavior.
Jin has been published in the Journal of Advertising, Journal of Advertising Research, Psychology and Marketing, Health Marketing Quarterly, Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly and Journal of Media Economics. He was also recognized as a "productive advertising scholar" in the 2008 Journal of Advertising’s "A ten-year retrospective of advertising research productivity, 1997-2006."
