Brian Anderson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and the Ph.D. Program Director at the Regnier Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Missouri-Kansas City's Henry W. Bloch School of Management. He earned a Ph.D. from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business in 2010; an M.S. from the University of Denver in 2007; and a B.S. from the University of Colorado at Denver in 2004. Before entering academia, he was an entrepreneur, tech geek, pilot, government bureaucrat and a political hack, although not necessarily in that order. In addition to his civilian career, Capt. Anderson is a Logistics Readiness Officer with the 140th Wing, Colorado Air National Guard, and was previously a Supply Corps Officer with the U.S. Navy Reserve.
Brian's expertise spans the entrepreneurship field, focusing on entrepreneurial orientation and research design and analysis. He has published in top journals including the Strategic Management Journal, the Journal of Business Venturing, the Academy of Management Journal, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal. Brian is a Field Editor for the Journal of Business Venturing in the area of Strategic Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and serves on the Editorial Review Board for Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice.
