Our international programs serve to expose public and private international executives and scholars to the U.S. education system as well as business operations. Participants can learn firsthand from top professors, universities and corporations on how to nurture innovation and instill the American entrepreneurial spirit.
Deans and Vice Deans Development Program
DVD (Deans and Vice Deans, formerly PDP)
This is an intensive two-week immersion program for leadership from select Chinese universities to learn about the U.S. liberal arts model in higher education.
Public Administration Study Mission
This two-week program at Washington D.C., Missouri and Kansas State Capitals, Midwest Center for Non-profit Leadership and UMKC Bloch School, Missouri, Kansas City provides participants a better understanding of how governmental and nonprofit (nongovernmental) public service organizations are organized and operated in the U.S. The trip consists of seminars taught by top professors, meeting & networking with local and national government and nonprofit/nongovernmental organization leaders, visiting local and national government and nonprofit organizations, and cultural events.
Our faculty combine theory, methodology, and real-life application through lectures, discussion, and group activities. This type of holistic instruction combined with government and nonprofit organization visits provide participants with first-hand engagement and interaction with leaders of governmental, quasi-governmental, and nonprofit organizations.
International Executive Development Program
This 2 to 3 week program takes place over multiple locations from Silicon Valley, Stanford University, Kauffman Foundation to UMKC Bloch School, Missouri, Kansas City. The trip consists of attending seminar taught by top professors, meeting & networking with local technopreneurs or entrepreneurs, visiting small and large companies or firms owned by entrepreneurs and venture capital firms, visiting local company, and cultural events.
Our faculty will combine theory, methodology, and real-life applications through lectures, discussion, and group activities. This type of holistic instruction combined with corporate visits provide participants with real life stories and strategic thinking processes which will help participants understand by way of first-hand experiences faced by the entrepreneurs and management.
