UMKC BLOCH SCHOOL FEATURED IN THE PRINCETON REVIEW’S
BEST 296 BUSINESS SCHOOLS: 2009 EDITION
The Bloch School of Business and Public Administration at UMKC has been named an outstanding business according to The Princeton Review. The New York-based education services company features the school in the just-published 2009 edition of its Best 296 Business Schools.
Bloch has been named to the Princeton Review’s Best Business Schools for three consecutive years, and was also named among the “Best in the Midwest” in the Princeton Review’s 2009 Best Colleges: Region by Region.
According to Robert Franek, Princeton Review VP-Publishing, "We select schools for this book based on our high regard for their academic programs and offerings, institutional data we collect from the schools, and the candid opinions of students attending them who rate and report on their campus experiences at the schools. We are pleased to recommend Bloch to readers of our book and users of our website as one of the best institutions they could attend to earn an MBA."
Best 296 Business Schools has two-page profiles of the schools with write-ups on their academics, student life and admissions, plus ratings for their academics, selectivity and career placement services. In the profile on the Bloch School, the Princeton Review editors describe the school as offering solid preparation to students, particularly in the areas of teamwork and communication/interpersonal skills. Student quotes indicate that Bloch’s “strong reputation,” “availability of experiential learning throughout the program,” and “the high quality of the faculty” are all areas in which Bloch excels.
The Bloch School of Business and Public Administration at UMKC is Kansas City’s only institution fully-accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA). The Bloch School is home to nationally renowned faculty and research centers as well as cutting-edge curricula in entrepreneurship, financial services, leadership, accounting, urban affairs and non-profit management. The Bloch School offers degree programs at the undergraduate, graduate, Executive MBA, and PhD levels.
